MKA Day 2024

133% of 500 Donor goal
This campaign ended on February 29, 2024, but you can still make a gift to Montclair Kimberley Academy by clicking here!

We've been challenged, AGAIN!!!

If we can raise $25,000 before midnight, a generous donor will give an additional $25,000 to MKA. Let's do this!

It's MKA Day! Join us as we come together to celebrate our students and showcase our school spirit in support of our students on MKA Day.  This year, we present an incredible challenge and an opportunity to multiply your impact. With a gift, you will help us reach our goal of 500 donors to unlock a generous $100,000 gift to financial assistance from Connie Carswell Serota '39.

Here’s how you can be a part of MKA Day:

  • Give: Gifts, pledges, and challenges made before 11:59 pm will count towards our 500 donor goal. Every gift makes a difference!
  • Challenge: Leverage your gift and encourage others by offering a challenge or matching gift.
  • Share: Spread the word among family, friends, and alumni! Follow us on instagram and re-share our posts and stories to share the excitement.

Thank you for being a part of the MKA community. Let’s make MKA Day 2024 truly remarkable!

Thank You!

Thank you to the MKA community for your generosity! Together, we raised $275,832 and unlocked an additional $100,000 that will benefit students every day. Go Cougars!

We’ve been challenged!

Our oldest living alumna, Connie Serota, from the Class of 1939, has challenged the MKA community to reach 500 donors, upon which she will donate $100,000 to MKA’s Financial Assistance.

Connie hopes her gift will inspire others to give back to MKA, as she has valued her MKA education since graduating 85 years ago and believes in today’s students!

A few facts about Connie:

  • Connie’s mother, Emma Dickson, was in the first graduating class of The Kimberley School in 1909.
  • After graduating from TKS, Connie earned a BA in English from Smith College.
  • Connie served in the US Navy both on active duty and as a reserve, and was active in both WWII and the Korean War (as a commander). Connie worked at the UN (both in Paris and New York) and the NSA before earning an MA in audiology from the University of Maryland and teaching students with disabilities.

Help us honor Connie by helping us reach our 500 donor goal!
